Chevron :: ACVFD

Posted by Capturedid on Saturday Jan 30, 2010 Under Design, Emergency Vehicle Graphics Package, Identity, Jason Fait, Vinyl Graphics

Today, Captured Identity designed, produced and installed an emergency vehicle graphic package to the rear of Adamsburg and Community Volunteer Fire Department’s Rescue Truck.  An emergency chevron was applied to the rear of the apparatus.

A Chevron is a reflective stripping that is proven to draw attention to the apparatus and add to the safety of the vehicle while parked along the roadway.  As of 2009 the National Fire Protection Association has mandated this type of reflective stripping an all new produced fire aparatus.  Captured Identity has the ability to manufacture and install emergency vehicle chevrons that meet or exceed NFPA requirments.

Logo Design :: Jordan Parker Photography

I started working with Jordon Parker, a local photographer, about one week ago on her brand.  She needed to come up with a brand that she could use through out her college classes and then into her career.  The first issue we came across was balancing the needs of her education and instructors and designing a brand that she would like enough to be able to build on through out her career.

Her instructor required her to have a “Script” font for her name, because he thinks it “Makes it look like you are signing your work.”  After much discussion, and the fact that he would not budge on his thought, we came up with incooperated her “signed name” into our first take.  I would think that a college professor who is a creative would have better knowledge on branding.  Below is our first draft of the logo.   Read More
